Luffy is a realistic character. He didn't take revenge on the spot and went on destroying things. Hi- His mind just went blank. It couldn't stimulate what happened just now. After trying so desperately, his brother still died just when he thought he had saved him.
Luffy just fainted not more not less. He just couldn't accept it.
And I still believe that plot armor was the only thing that saved akainu from WB.

And up until now it's never even mentioned that he hates Akainu for that, he never seeks for revenge, he never blamed akainu for killing Ace. If anything he kinda blame himself for not strong enough to actually save ace back then :')
